Status of ratification of Hague Convention on Children in Zimbabwe
The Republic of Zimbabwe is committed to the development of children’s rights. However to date, Zimbabwe has only ratified the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction (1980).
To date, Zimbabwe has not adopted the following:
- (a) Hague Convention on Protection of Children and Cooperation in Respect of Intercountry Adoption (1993);
- (b) Hague Convention on Jurisdiction, Applicable Law, Recognition, Enforcement and Cooperation in Respect of Parental Responsibility and Measures for the Protection of Children (1996); and
- (c) Hague Convention on the International Recovery of Child Support and Other Forms of Family Maintenance (2007).
