Lithium Laws and Regulations in Zimbabwe
The laws and regulations in Zimbabwe regulating lithium include but are not limited to the following:
The main forms of ADR that parties generally used in the securities industry include:
- Base Minerals Export Control Act [Chapter 21:01];
- Customs and Excise Act [Chapter 23:02];
- Mines and Minerals Act [Chapter 21:05];
- Value Added Tax Act [Chapter 23:12].
More so, the Base Minerals Export Control (Unbeneficiated Litium Bearing Ores) Order, 2022 and the Base Minerals Export Control (Unbeneficiated Base Mineral Ores) Order, 2023 also constitute the lithium laws and regulations in Zimbabwe. These laws and regulations implemented by the government of Zimbabwe regulate the mining, storage, transport, sale and processing of lithium bearing ores in Zimbabwe.
