Yes. In in terms of section 7 of the Matrimonial Causes Act [Chapter 5:13] there are three (3) types of property which if proved to the satisfaction of the court as meeting the exemption requirements. The property which is subject to exemption from division upon divorce in Zimbabwe is as follows:
Property acquired by way of inheritance;
Property acquired in terms of any custom and which, in accordance with such custom, are intended to be held by the spouse personally; and
Property acquired in any manner and which property has particular sentimental value to the spouse.
